Is Your Skin Care Regimen
Making You Sick and Old Before Your Time?

Scary Skin Care Facts

Have you ever suffered from scaly, dry, cracked and bleeding skin?

My son did -- and it was so bad that it broke my heart.

You see, my son developed eczema when he was just two weeks old.

Every time I tried to give him a relaxing evening bath, his tender skin became scaly, then it cracked, then it started to bleed.

I was beside myself!

No loving mother wants to see her child suffer, so I did what any good mommy would do: I took him to a doctor for professional advice.

That started us down a path of years of treatments involving steroid creams and petroleum jelly.

But nothing worked. And I was starting to get scared, because I heard that ongoing steroid treatments had been linked to cancer and thinning of the skin.

I got so scared that I started to do my own research -- and what I discovered floored me!

Many people who suffer from eczema have an allergy to petroleum based products!
The very products our doctor had prescribed to treat my son's eczema!

Petroleum and skin care: The shocking facts

Now, if you are wondering what petroleum products have to do with skin care, the answer is: A lot!

I was shocked to learn that the chemicals listed as ingredients in most commercially sold shampoos, lotions, soaps and creams are loaded with petroleum products or petroleum by-products.

Things like:

Propylene glycol: a substance that is used to de-ice airplanes! Propylene glycol has been linked to liver and lung damage, and has been shown to kill red blood cells!

Sodium lauryl (or laureth) sulfate (SLS): a foaming agent that is toxic to the skin and stripss your skin's natural protective barrier, allowing your body to absorb other toxic chemicals. In its purest form, SLS is used to clean grease off garage floors!

Eczema now infects 1 in 5 children and 1 in 10 adults.
That means that more than 35 million Americans suffer from eczema every day!

Do you think there just might be a connection between the rise of petroleum and synthetic ingredients in the beauty products that are marketed to us -- and the rise of chronic, painful skin conditions?

I do!

Ugh! Petroleum Products = Obscene Profits

Now . . . think about this:

If eczema sufferers spend only one dollar a month on treating their skin condition with the recommended commercial products, these companies will make more than $420 million a year in sales.

In reality, eczema sufferers are more likely to spend $100 or $200 or $300 or more in search of relief.

So, multiply $420 million times 100, 200, 300 or more -- and you begin to see the massive profits that are being raked in by name-brand beauty companies.

Is it to their benefit to help you cure your condition -- and lose out on the money to be made from your suffering?

In fact,

these companies make billions of dollars by keeping you sick and aging before your time,
so you'll keep buying products that hold out the promise of making you feel and look better.

Check the Labels

The next time you purchase skin care or beauty care products, check the labels for these ingredients that might actually be damaging your skin, promoting wrinkles, and making you look old before your time.

  • Sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate
  • Propylene glycol
  • Mineral oil
  • Paraffin
  • Petroleum
  • Dimethicone
  • PEG
  • Silicone

Then ask yourself:

Do you want to wash your face with these harmful chemicals, open up your pores with toxic toners to make them more receptive to the extensive damage that can be done by facial moisturizers full of parabens, more petroleum products, and synthetic fragrances?

Does it make sense to cover up all of the damage you just did to your skin, by covering it with plastic-filled makeup that sits on your face all day?

How can your skin do its job properly when it's so busy trying to heal itself from the junk you just slathered on?

Let's face it. If the big name-brand beauty companies put out a product that helped you with your wrinkles, why would you ever need to purchase the next big thing coming out of their massive factories?

They make billions in profits off our fear of looking older, so it's to their benefit to sell us products that will age us faster and so that they can continue to prey off our fears of looking older and unattractive, and keep us buying more and more in our quest to fix the damage their products have done to our skin and our health.
